The photographer EJ Bellocq and this particular photo (often referred to as Bellocq's Madonna) are particularly meaningful to me. The man responsible for discovering and publishing Bellocq's work (Lee Kreider) opted to print them as they were found. The original glass negatives had suffered severe decomposition. This is intended as a sample restoration.

At this young man's graduation from high school, he opted not to purchase the graduation photograph.  Years later all he had was the 35mm proof shot.
